Conor McGregor is plotting his "last dance" - seemingly in the UFC.
The former two-division champion is recovering from a torn ACL and meniscus after injuring his knee in his comeback fight against Max Holloway at UFC 329 earlier in July. He officially suffered a TKO loss 69 seconds into the bout.
"What was to be a generational beating is now to be reset," McGregor wrote Monday in an Instagram post. "(International Fight Week) 2027. The Last Dance."
McGregor has one bout left on his UFC contract and said last week he hoped to be back in the Octagon by next summer. It remains unclear whether he plans to retire or explore opportunities outside the promotion should he become a free agent.
The 38-year-old Irishman ended a five-year layoff at UFC 329. He hadn't fought since July 2021, when he broke his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier.
McGregor is riding a three-fight skid and hasn't won since knocking out Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone in January 2020.
