Blue Jays' Kirk loses bat on swing, smashes glass window

Toronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk shattered a window after his bat helicoptered out of his hands on a strikeout in the fifth inning during Monday's game against the Washington Nationals.

Kirk's lumber landed in the camera well close to the Blue Jays' dugout at Nationals Park.

Sportsnet reporter Hazel Mae documented the damage after watching the bat sail over her head.

The Blue Jays and Nationals started a three-game series Monday.
